Removing and Installing the Memory Dividers
The memory dividers direct airflow from the front fans to the processors. There are eight dividers in total.
Removing the Memory Dividers
1. Remove the top cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Top Cover” on page 82.
2. Lift the memory divider out of the system.

3. Replace the top cover. For instructions, see “Installing the Top Cover” on page 83.
Installing the Memory Dividers
1. Remove the top cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Top Cover” on page 82.
2. Place the memory dividers into the system correctly positioned on the memory rug support below.

Note: Be careful to slide the memory dividers down the correct metal retention guides, not the plastic
retention guides of the memory risers.
